Veggie day @ the office. No complaints here.

I know you guys must think I go out to eat every Friday. Not the case, but Friday does tend to be my treat-yourself day (you have to have at least one a week!). Today, the treat was a three-course sushi lunch (under $10!) with some coworkers.
First course: miso soup + salad (free)

Second course: Spicy tuna salad + sushi appetizer (3 pieces sushi + 3 pieces California roll) ($4.50 + $5.50)

Third course: Some kind of watermelon in sweet water dessert (freezie!)

It was the perfect palette cleanser!
Total? $10.00 + tax/tip. Lovely lunch.

Two things you won’t be shocked to hear I had for breakfast: a toddy with cream and cinnamon and a piece of my smoked salmon frittata.

I recently discovered that Jimmy John’s makes sandwiches in lettuce wraps. It sort of made my life. Understandably, I’ve been hankering for them ever since. My favorite is the Beach Club Unwich, with turkey, provolone, avocado spread, cukes, tomatoes, and sprouts. So satisfying with the avocado, and so refreshing encased in the crunchy lettuce. Because I was in the mood for a treat, I also got jalapeno potato chips on a whim (the ingredient list wasn’t AWFUL). Good decision on my part.

I’m completely content right now.

Champagne at the office breakfast was a Friday WIN.

Our director, who’s great, is leaving next week, so it was a sad but festive (and delicious) occasion.

He cooked up breakfast burritos with eggs, chorizo, homemade pico de gallo, avocado, and cheese. We also had fruit salad and mimosas. I skipped the tortilla and had my eggs and sausage naked (with fixins’ of course).

I had a huge toddy, too. Those are so delicious!
