Friday Day in Food
…It’s back! And better than ever. Well, no, that’s a lie. It’ll pretty much be the same as it’s always been. But you know you love it!

Breakfast, 9:30am: Trader Joe’s multigrain cereal with about two tablespoons of dried cherries and a tablespoon of peanut butter.
Okay, I’m in heart with this TJ’s multigrain stuff. Unlike regular oatmeal, it has a combo of delicious oat-y goodness including: rye, barley, oats, and wheat. Plus, its nutritional profile is slightly better than regular rolled oats (I used Quaker old-fashioned oats to compare)…
Per half cup serving:
Cals: multigrain - 130, oatmeal - 150
Fat: multigrain - 1g, 0 saturated, oatmeal - 3g, .5g saturated
Fiber: multigrain - 5g, oatmeal - 4g
Protein: multigrain - 5g, oatmeal - 5g

So for fewer calories in the multigrain cereal, we get slightly less fat and more fiber. I’ll take it! Plus, the multigrain cereal has a more complex, nutty flavor that I like. Mixed with the cherries and PB, it was a decent rendition of PB&J oatmeal. My fave!
